So I have been introduced to quinoa, a grain of epic proportions. I made a big batch of it and used it several different culinary adventures. This afternoon I threw together a stirfry-esque creation that I have to say is very delicious. I took some sesame oil in my pan, added some garlic and an onion. A great base for so, so many different foods, yummm. From there I added oregano and a dried pepperocini from my local farmers market for flavor. A squirt of lemon juice added a little tang. Included I also addded some sundried tomatoes. I have to say that sundried tomatoes make the world go ’round some days. Then to top it all off I added my quinoa to cook and absorb the flavors. This was my amazing culinary experience for the day!

Europe
So I was sitting around thinking that I should have a real first blog post, not just a one liner but something more substantial. Then I remembered that I went to Europe this summer! It was such a wonderful experience that I would love to share. I think that it will be a good topic to write about when I don’t have anything else to write about. Or something like that. Maybe I’ll make a post for each country I visited, it’s a work in progress. For now I’ll share the shuterfly page with all the pictures. Some of them are mislabeled, the Rome pictures are up twice as Rome and Florence and Venice. So yeah:
Enjoy!
